Kristy Gore believes South Carolina families deserve safe, reliable roads and a transportation system that works for every community. She will fight to fast-track long-overdue improvements to I-526 and other critical District 99 infrastructure projects. Kristy supports reforming SCDOT to increase transparency and efficiency, while directing more transportation dollars to local governments so roads are repaired where and when they're needed most. By keeping major infrastructure projects at the state level and empowering counties to handle local priorities, she will deliver smarter government and better results for taxpayers.

Kristy Gore is committed to delivering meaningful tax relief for South Carolina families. She will fight for a path toward eliminating property taxes, lowering state income taxes, and building a tax system that is simpler, fairer, and more competitive. Her approach begins with cutting government waste, ending special-interest spending, streamlining bureaucracy, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. By eliminating loopholes and special exemptions that favor a select few, Kristy will work to reduce tax burdens for working families, retirees, and small businesses while advancing a smaller, more efficient government that puts citizens first.

About Kristy Gore

Meet Kristy Gore

A proud daughter of Hanahan, Kristy Gore’s roots run deep in the Lowcountry. Raised in Berkeley County and educated in Hanahan schools, she developed an early appreciation for faith, family, hard work, and service to her community. She later earned a degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Trident Technical College, laying the foundation for a distinguished career dedicated to public safety and public service.

For more than two decades, Kristy served the citizens of Charleston and Berkeley Counties in a variety of law enforcement and investigative roles. Her extensive experience spans local and state agencies, where she rose through the ranks to become an Investigator. Her career has provided firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing families, businesses, and communities, as well as a deep understanding of the judicial system through her service as both a Court Deputy and Criminal Defense Investigator.

A committed advocate for responsible growth and strong communities, Kristy currently serves on the Berkeley County Planning and Zoning Commission. She is also actively engaged with nonprofit organizations that provide hope and recovery for individuals battling addiction and support women rebuilding their lives after surviving human trafficking.

Kristy’s commitment to conservative leadership extends beyond public service. Since 2012, she has been a dedicated leader within the Republican Party, serving in numerous capacities including President of the Berkeley County Republican Women’s Club and District 1 Director for the South Carolina Federation of Republican Women. Her leadership has helped strengthen the conservative movement throughout the region and empower the next generation of Republican women leaders.

A devoted mother who raised her two sons in Berkeley County, Kristy understands the importance of safe neighborhoods, quality schools, economic opportunity, and accountable government. She is running for State House District 99 to bring principled conservative leadership, real-world experience, and a servant’s heart to Columbia—always putting the people of Berkeley County first.
